Our little one just started drawing faces a few months ago, and they have been daily fascinating me. Before she was able to draw them, one of her teachers told me - don't ever draw a person for your child until they draw their own. Let them create one out of their own imagination. Being a painter, I found this advice difficult to follow. Nevertheless, I was quite surprised when many of our child's face drawings came out having a long line for a nose, as my people are usually missing theirs :) The marker she was using is a ZIG Marker - I love these markers because they write strongly like a permanent marker, but they are a little more kid friendly. They also have a thin point and a large point.
